Police Officer I, The Town of Angier is seeking a full-time Patrol Officer I. Must perform protective service work in accordance with established police methods and departmental practices and procedures. Must have the ability to follow written and oral instructions and to act with sound judgement. Applicant must be at least 21 years of age, have a high school education or equivalent, possess a Basic Law Enforcement Certificate issued by the State of North Carolina, and meet the certificate qualifications issued by the NC Criminal Justice Training and Standards. Selected applicant will be required to work rotating shifts, complete a background investigation, and pass a physical examination including a drug-screening and psychological test. Starting salary of $35,872 DOQ plus excellent benefits.

Part time Library Assistant

The Angier Public Library currently has a Part-time Library Assistant position available to provide customer service and clerical work in one of several assignments to support Library functions such as circulation services, technical services, and branch operation. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Library Director. An employee within this position will work 15 hours per week. Mornings and afternoon work is part of the work schedule.

Applicant must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma.

Applicant must have exceptional customer services skills and adept with computers, can lift up to 50 pounds if needed and can assist the public with computer use.

Salary is within the minimal wage guidelines.
