Planning & Permitting Information

Do You need a Permit?

You will need to apply for a Land Use Permit if you are planning to build or add to any structure. This includes substantial renovations, any additions as well as fences, decks, pools, sheds and storage buildings.

For businesses moving into new or existing commercial space, you will also need to apply for a Land Use Permit for zoning compliance.

If the North Carolina Building Code applies to your project, you will also need to apply for a Building Permit.
